Some quick videos of how Jinx and I exit the back door...
Jinx and I made it to "September" of the IMPS dog rescue 2011
calendar
Nothing better than lounging around inside when it's 20 degrees
outside!
January 24th was the last day of my obedience training with Canine Training Association
I could have done better if Dad wasn't my handler in the class because he didn't have much
patience with me because my focus has always been run and play, not sit and stay
! I did however pass the test and graduate.
Jinx passed also but he's more laid back and actually captured 1st in the class..
January 27th we got about 7 or 8 inches of snow last
night.. This stuff was wet and hard to run through.
Luckily Mom dug us a little path in the back yard so we can take care of business...
Leaping
to "try" and catch a snowball
February 11th
The door into the garage wasn't shut well and when Mom came home and opened the garage
door I decided to sneak outside in the front yard. Jinx was right behind me
but Dad caught him. Me however greeted Mom and proceeded to take off down the street
with Dad close behind in his slippers.. I made a turn between two houses that were
fenced and was trapped so Dad caught me... Guess that's why I didn't take 1st place
in my obedience class!
Ahhh nothing like a good bone, a nap under the covers or gazing outside!!
Love my freeze dried sweet potatoes, Yummm!!
My Dad's Daughter & Family found a cute little female Min
Pin running loose near a busy highway near us so they brought her by to help locate the
owner. Boy can that little 2 year old girl run fast around the backyard.. My Dad
called the number on her tag and her owner didn't even know she dug an escape hole under
the fence. Wish she could have stayed a while longer!
March 18th The temps were around 70, sweeeet... Now when
we're inside we want to go out!
April 19th, weather is getting really nice!
Dad took me for a long walk last night while Jinx was at his class and it was
great
except I must have stepped wrong in the backyard when Jinx came home now I'm lame in left
rear leg!
I can still run on three legs though....
Well, you can't keep a good dog down.. Back to my old speed
demon self!
I miss catching snow balls but I'll try and catch what ever is
available, even weeds!!
Toby our foster dog has figured out how to wait until the command "ok" when it's time to eat! He came to us June 18th...
He was adopted today August 13th to a very nice family in PA.
He didn't really use his bed and his new family has plenty
of places for him to sleep
so SCORE!!
Let's recap this past week of August 2011:
The 23rd there was a 5.8 Earthquake which was not a big deal to me but scary to Mom
& Dad.
Then on the 26th and 27th there was hurricane Irene which effected me more because
of the wind & rain..
Dad with an umbrella took me out on a leash because I refused to go out and do my
business in that mess but it didn't make a difference and all I wanted to do was get back
inside... I hate rain & snow!!!
Well today September 8th 2011 we are now fostering another
min pin "Buddy" He's 7 just like us..
He was rescued from a shelter and had a hard life lately being recently neutered
(ouch) and having a bunch of teeth pulled. Mom & Dad will add some needed weight on
him and hope he becomes a more happy dog like us soon!
Today is September 15th "My Birthday" A big
7 years old...
I already received my best present ever when I was adopted two years ago and came here!
October 15, 2011... Mom & Dad rescued a min pin from
the PG County shelter today..
He's a wild red boy only three and full of energy.. I know he was glad to get out of
there...
Buddy is going on a home visit Sunday to hopefully find his forever home!
Well Buddy's potential adopters changed their minds... Don't think they were 100%
sure anyway.
Now there are four of us running through the house!!
Friday October 15th, Mom & Dad learned that Rusty
"the red dog" has a fractured tailbone (ouch)
Since there is nerve damage he doesn't feel any pain but he can't control when he needs to
poop. Poor boy can't even wag his little tail... We are all adapting to his special
needs and whoever adopts him must be able to prove to Mom & Dad they will be willing
to go the extra mile and care for him properly...
He's welcome to stay here forever!
November 17, 2011
Alright, I understand Red Dog Rusty is a special needs boy BUT... After being here
for a month, he has destroyed over a dozen squeaky toys.
I know I'm guilty of sending a few for repair now and then but he completely demolishes
them beyond repair...
Hope Santa has them on my list this year!
November 20, 2011
Mommy took Big Buddy to Richmond VA to his new and forever home today!
Well it's Christmas time again and this year we have Rusty, our foster dog house guest!
